Frank Albanese grew up on Long Island job sites. His grandfather built Capes in Hicksville in 1956. His father ran the crew Frank joined at 16. He earned his own GC license at 26.
In 2008, after watching five fragmented Long Island generals fold in the downturn, Frank founded Long Island Homeworks. He was convinced the fragmented-crew model was the root cause of the industry's trouble. He built this company on a single conviction: one crew, one contract, one name responsible from demolition through final walkthrough.
Today, Long Island Homeworks has completed 618projects across Nassau and Suffolk County. Frank still walks every Monday morning on every active job site. Three generations in, that's still the pitch.

We don't subcontract the work that matters. Framing, rough mechanicals, finish carpentry — all our people. You meet your superintendent on day one and he's still there on closeout.
PE-backed plans
Every structural detail is stamped by a licensed professional engineer. Our in-house AIA architect draws the set, the PE reviews and stamps, the set that goes to the town is the set we build — no revisions mid-build.
We pull the permits
Lisa manages every township filing. Hempstead, Huntington, Smithtown, Babylon, the Village of Garden City — we've been through all of them. You don't touch a permit form.

In-house AIA since 2012. Draws most of our dormer and addition work. Former Mojo Stumer associate.

Runs dormer and addition sites. Been framing with Frank since the first LI Homeworks job in 2008.
Kevin O'Hara
Runs ground-up new builds. Joined from a Hamptons luxury builder in 2014. Has certified 20+ ENERGY STAR homes.
Lisa Park
Runs the permit desk. Files, tracks, and closes every township filing. Clients talk to Lisa almost daily mid-build.
Carmen Albanese
Runs the books. Handles every draw, invoice, and lender draw request. Frank's wife and co-founder since 2008.
